kayaks, mountain bikes, cross country skis (ski care also available), snow
shoes, kick sleds, walking poles, fishing tackle, and an outboard motor.
Plenty to see and experience
The craggy heights of Neitvuori jut up close to Harmola Farm, while the
Luonteri region, forming part of Etelä-Savo's stunning 'national landscape',
unfurls from the hill's panoramic viewpoint. Starting at Neitvuori, the
Hiidenmaa hiking trail takes the walker, according to personal choice,
5 - 55 km, following Luonteri's lakeshore scenery. The distances are:
Hiidenkota 5 km, the Pitkäjärvi lean-to 10 km, Siikakoski 25 km, Koikkala
25 km, and Sahanlahti at Puumala 40 km.
Neitvuori also offers fantastic orienteering terrain, while Harmola Farm
is ideal for a successful camping practice. Maps of the area are available
from both Harmola Farm itself and the orienteering society Suunnistus-
seura Navi.
If you prefer a faster pace for your holiday, Xon Park, specialising in
adventure travel from ATV safaris to a catapult, is the place to visit.
ATVs and snowmobiles are also rented out to Harmola Farm's
cottage customers.
Anttolanhovi Manor House Hotel's wide range of services can be enjoyed
just 15 km away from Harmola Farm. Quality facilities are available for ball
games and physical exercise in the gym; after your workout you can refresh
yourself in the sauna and pool section. The restaurants provide mouth-
watering meal options and evening entertainment to the rhythm of
dance music.
Some 10 km from Harmola Farm lies Rävykoski, where you can enjoy
rapids fishing and catch lake trout on fly or lure. Around a kilometre from
Rävykoski is the café Siikakosken Baari, where you can obtain fishing
licences. Rapids fishing is permitted between 1.5 - 10.9. and 16.11 - 15.4.
Visulahti Travel Centre 24 km away offers fast-moving adventures and
fun for the whole family.
The Ski Tornimäki winter sports resort is located in Mikkeli less
than 30 km from Harmola Farm. At Ski Tornimäki you can practise e.g.
snowboarding, downhill skiing, cross country skiing and telemark.
PK fishing trips organizes boating and fishing trips in the southern Saimaa area. Journeys are arranged after the client's request.
The Mikkeli region and Etelä-Savo offer a lot to see and experience
for people of all ages.
